Kettenkrad is one of the most unusual vehicles from the Second World War. It resembles a combination of a motorcycle and a tracked vehicle. The design was so successful that even Allied troops used captured examples of this vehicle. Kettenkrad was designed in the late 1930s at the NSU Motorenwerke plant. In 1941, it officially entered service with the Wehrmacht. It worked perfectly in difficult terrain as a light tug, tractor or supply transporter. It could carry machine guns, mortars and drums with telephone cable. Approximately 8,411 pieces produced.
The Sd.Kfz.2 Kettenkrad model was designed entirely from COBI construction blocks.
