When Farmer Paul looks out the window of his big red house in the morning, his animals have long been awake. Before his own breakfast, he always feeds a cow, a calf, a pig and a piglet. The cat also gets a bowl of milk, although it should rather catch the curious mouse lurking in the attic. When all the animals are fed, farmer Paul uses a pitchfork to carry the hay to the attic. He takes the animals out to the pasture to thoroughly clean the stalls. The pigeon watches him from his rooftop house, occasionally cooing, "Still here!"
