UH-1D Heer - Multi-role American Helicopter "Huey"

Constructed by Bell Helicopter Textron. Work on the helicopter began in 1955. The first flight of the prototype called XH-40 was made on October 22, 1956. After the successful flight, several test series machines were built, later called YH-40. After a series of studies and tests, the helicopter was adopted by the US Army. The first series helicopters - UH-1A version (model 204) had an 860 HP engine and could accommodate 6 passengers. These machines were delivered to US Army units from June 30, 1959 to March 1961.
