Model of the Merkava Mk. tank. I/II was faithfully reproduced from 825 COBI construction blocks and realistically reflects the appearance of its museum counterpart. Movable elements such as the tank's turret and barrel, rotating wheels and tracks, and opening hatches allow all fans of building blocks and military items to enjoy the model. The tank's engine has also been recreated and can be seen by opening the service hatch. Thanks to the intuitive instructions, construction is simple and exciting. Every adult enthusiast of history and military technology will surely be happy to add this model to their collection. Thanks to the 1:35 modeling scale, the tank fits other vehicles released in the Armed Forces series and will fit perfectly with the Leopard 2A4, Leopard 2A5 and Abrams.

In cooperation with the Deutsches Panzermuseum Munster, we have prepared a museum model of the Merkava Mk. I/II. The Merkava is the first main battle tank designed and manufactured in Israel. Serial production began in 1979. Since then, four generations have been created. The tank is used exclusively by the Israel Defense Forces and has participated in all armed conflicts and military operations that have occurred since the Yom Kippur War involving the State of Israel. The tank was designed according to very specific IDF requirements.
First of all, it provides very good protection for the tank crew, which is extremely valuable to Israel. The engine is placed at the front, is easily accessible and additionally protects the crew. The turret and fighting compartment are located at the rear of the tank. The turret is wedge-shaped and the hull is low-profile, which makes it easier for bullets to ricochet. High firepower is provided by the improved 105 mm M68 cannon. The empty ammunition compartment allows the transport of troops. The Merkava II tank was equipped with, among others: with reinforced armor, side screens and a better fire control system. Merkava II tanks were finally replaced by the 3rd and 4th generation, probably in 2021.
