The M24 Chaffee is an American light tank from World War II, which successfully replaced the M3/M5 Stuart model. Equipped with welded armor, two engines and a 75 mm gun, it became the first Western tank to use torsion bars as suspension. This tank was used in battles in France, Italy and the Third Reich, and after the war it remained in service with American troops.
